Biltong is a South Africa classic.  It is air-cured meat that is immersed in vinegar and a special blend spices.  

Biltong is the perfect on-the-go snack for energy and a protein boost.  It is also great for snack boards to accompany cheeses, pickles and mustard.

Biltong can also be added to salads, sandwiches or any other snack.

Biltong is very similar to jerky in the sense that they are both spiced, dried meat but the ingredients that are used in jerky are different to biltong.  The process of preparation is also slightly different and the tastes are completely different.  

Storing Your Biltong

Store your biltong in a cool dry place, this will prevent it from going mouldy.  Freezing your biltong can make it last for a year, which is awesome.  You can also store your biltong in a paper bag and it will remain good for a few extra days.

Package Size: Each bag weighs just over 300g and cannot be changed as its pre-packed. Its also not vacuum sealed as the plastic changes the flavour of the biltong.
